| Johann Sebastian Bach,1685-1750, is one of the greatest masters in music field, also a religious protestant. He seeks & unto glory of God in his whole wateriness life by hard working on music. As a Christian composer, Bach spreads the spirit of Christianity, praises God, cleanses spirits, and brings comfort to people under suffering. The number of compositions Bach created during his lifetime is too big to be counted, which covered nearly all types with all instruments.Mostly of Bach's vocal solo compositions are the aria parts in his cantatas, masses, passions & oratorios. Some motets & arias are also included. It is a key that deep into of his faith for analyzing his works since almost all subjects of his compositions are related to Christian & his faith. Different with the operas and lieders we usually acted, we can feel representative Baroque & religious belief in his works, which can deeply into your heart with compact, pure & sacred melody. However, it is hard to spell out the appeal in his music that looks simple, but having complex slightly sensibility change. It requires singers to have rich cultural deposits, composing knowledge, singing skill and deep knowledge on religion & faith in order to fully express the spirit deeply hidden in Bach's music, those are weak spots of Chinese students.From a soprano's view, writer analyzed the cantus, composing skill & music style of Aus Liebe will mein Heiland sterben, one of the most famous soprano aria of St. Matthew Passion, to reveal the subtle points of Bach's vocal compositions, and integrated with writer's own experience to supply detailed annotation for each phrase on emotion & treatment, to supply theoretical foundation reference for professional singer on singing Bach's work.
