Research On Anti-japanese Memorial Facilities In Shandong Province

From the incident of July 7 in 1937 to the Japanese army declared to surrendered unconditionally in 1945,Chinese people fought against the Japanese army for eight years.In that period,many heroes devoted their lives to fighting against aggression.Some local governments began to build memorial facilities to memory the martyrs.This passage is to research the memorial facilities which were built for the martyrs who died when the Chinese armys resisted against the Japanese armys.Through investing files and local records, and doing field research,the author wants to research the condition of memorial facilities,the typical memorial facilities and the feature of memorial facilities in the period of resistance against Japanese, retrocession and after the founding of the PRC.The research purpose of this passage is to discuss problems as follows.First, discuss the building,expansion and the feature of memorial facilities in Shandong Province.Second,discuss the historical evolution of memorial facilities and difficulties which the memorial facilities faced when they were built.Third,discuss the historical and practical significance of memorial facilities.The author got some conclusions after researching.The building of memorial facilities in Shandong Province reached peak in the period of resistance against Japanese.Then,the number of setting up memorial facilities got down.According to protecting old memorial facilities and the rules of saving,setting up new memorial facilities at places which didn't build memorial facilities,limiting places which had built memorial facilities after the founding of the PRC.At the same time,reinforcing the management ,the use and the maintenance of memorial facilities.It is easy to find the memorial facilities which were built before the founding of the PRC.But it is difficult to ensure the number of the martyrs because of merging burials after the founding of the PRC .For that,we need a deeper research on memorial facilities in Shandong Province,and we should know the real situation of memorial facilities in Shandong Province.
