As the prosperity of the creation of poetry, the rhythm, harmony and beautiful forms of poems in the southern dynasties period were paid more attention, which is a major trend of the development of the poetry. It is known that the poets of the southern dynasties period began to concern about the art and technique of the poetry, and they have accumulated a wealth of experience on the Creation of Poetry for the future generations, which also established the base for Modern-style poems. The appearance of the "YongmingTi" made the "Qi and Liang" of southern dynasties the important transition period in the history of Chinese poetry's development. SHEN Yue, as a literary leader during the "Qi and Liang" dynasties, is a measurable figure who promoted the development of the "YongmingTi". And it embodied a very closed relationship with "YongmingTi" that both the theory of literature and the concrete practice of creating poetries of him. Based on the example of SHEN Yue's Poems and the Poetic Rhythm Theory of him, the analysis to the "YongmingTi" has a certain meaning. A method of the combination of lexical and lateral is adopted to study "YongmingTi" theory in the paper. In terms of lexical, this paper will involve many important characters. And in terms of lateral, this paper will combine the Chinese philology and the Cultural Characteristics of the times with the works of SHEN Yue. The following contributions have been made in this dissertation:Chapter 1: Guide This chapter reviews the correlative research about "YongmingTi" theory. In terms of lexical, this chapter summarizes the important achievement and indicates the important meanings. This chapter includes the study of "Yong ming Ti"theory before the founding of the PRC and the study in the late 30 years, in which the main viewpoints are analyzed and some thoughts about "YongmingTi" are invented and what the paper will focus on.Chapter 2: The Formation of the "YongmingTi" theory and the Production of the Modern-style poems In this part, the paper discusses and analysises Cao Zhi and Xie Lingyun's poems and indicates that the "YongmingTi" theory are slowly formed, which was brewing in the pre-qin dynasty, germinating in the han dynasty, and absolutely formed in the weijin dynasty. The rhythm of "YongmingTi" began in Cao Zhi's times, turned up in Xie Lingyun's times and was proposed by Shen Yue. "YongmingTi" theory is the production of the era and its procedure is from fuzzy to clear. "YongmingTi" theory has some recessive connotation that the interactive application of the four tones and rendered two parts; from the five notes to four tones; the form of emotional expression itself and the reflection of the"he"thoughts. By analyzing the "eight defects", it can be found that "eight defects" is more closed to Modern-style poems. The Modern-style poems are the production of the development of "YongmingTi".Chapter 3: SHEN Yue's Poems and "YongmingTi"—based on the example of poems from Yutai Xinyong The explanation of "defect" and "ti" is placed at the beginning of this chapter. It is pointed out that "eight defects" is the essence of the "YongmingTi" theory's characteristics since it exists in SHEN Yue's poems in this part. In this chapter, after analyzing some SHEN Yue's poems from Yutai Xinyong, from four respects: into the law, four tones, the use of rhyme and the "eight defects", we can draw the conclusion that "Ping Tou", "Feng Yao", "He Xi" are more than "Da Yun", "Xiao Yun", "Bang Niu", "Zheng Niu". And this can be used to expound and prove the opinions in the second chapter. Conclusions: By.summarizing the important points of this paper, this part will give a conclusion. The"YongmingTi" theory is the creature of the history and the age. SHEN Yue is the representative of "YongmingTi". The characteristics of SHEN Yue's poems reflect a feature of the essence of the "YongmingTi" theory's characteristics. The four tones is the production of history and rendered two parts gradually. The "Fu sheng" and "Qie xiang" of SHEN Yue's, refered to On the Biography of Xie Lingyun of Songshu, may be two of the four tones. And the "eight defects" approached completion in the Tang Dynasty. Though many sentences of "YongmingTi" had into the law, the essence of the "YongmingTi" theory's is still the interactive application of the four tones.
