Research On Advantages Of Abstraction In Making Animation Role Modelling

From the current domestic and international animated movies, we can understand easily that the modelling style of animation role mainly shows in the following aspects: simulated and realistic modelling for meticulous expression, contracted tokenization for abstract expression and specific symbolization for abstract elements. It was also divided technically into three dimensional space and two-dimensional model, which both were mature in technical aspects and thriving and prosperous in its development, and it was difficult to judge which one is better or more superior than another. However, considering the social attributes and economic worth, social development, people's psychology and visual demand, the animated movies with the abstract modelling has been superior to concrete realistic modelling.The abstract role modelling was aiming at contraction and abstraction. Compared with realistic modelling for purpose of meticulous expression, many complex drawing processes of the abstract role modelling would be decreased during the concrete realistic modelling processing, which was advantageous to reduce the cost of making animated movies, shorten its production cycle, and to enhance economic performance/returns. In addition, the abstract role modelling has the following features: simple structure, specific shape and prominent character in comparsion with the concrete realistic modelling, which will give more people deep impressions for its strong points, such as meeting the quick rhythm life demand of modern people, being convinent to remember and communicate etc. therefore, the abstract role modelling will be popular in the future.This paper was divided into four chapers. The research actualities of the abstraction of animation role modelling were overviewed in the the first chaper. The second chaper disscussed the relation between the abstract animation role modelling and development of the age from the following three aspects: development tendency of the animation industry, modern people's needs of psychology and the character of abstraction. The dominent positions of the abstract role modelling in improving economic and practical value were analyzed and enumerated some successful cases for further testification in the third chaper. And the last chaper summarized the concrete advantages of abstract role modelling animations in comparison with the meticulous and realistic animations.
