In the modern educational field, the theory of situational cognition and learning is drawn great attention for its systematize and variety of teaching models and its guidance for modern teaching design. The theory of situational cognition and learning is based on the critique for the traditional school teaching model, and starts from the rethinking of the self-research for learning theory, which can meet the needs of school practice and improve the learning theories themselves at the same time. In one word, the theory of situational cognition and learning can show its profound connotations of the theory,practice and bright future.Teaching is the interaction between teaching and learning, the relationship between teachers and students is interdependent, interactive and promoted together. The cooperation between both sides can achieve the realization of the teaching goal and the result is depending on successful cooperation. In this situation, the teaching process must be improved and developed,teachers should make more efforts in teaching process in order to achieve this goal. However, it is just the advantage of the situational teaching, which mainly focuses on good learning environment and atmosphere of the student so that they can get the knowledge through their exploration and analysis guided by the teacher's effective teaching in such a positive, active and relaxed environment. This can not only help the students learn but also apply the knowledge to solve several practical problems so as to achieve the real learning purpose. Creating live class environment, much more attractive teaching method and harmonious relationship can help improve the comprehensive capability of the students and relieve the pressure of teaching.The present thesis, picking up the observation, literature review and case study as the research methodology, makes the research on features, functions, significance of situational teaching in the music teaching and also discusses the foundation of the musical situational teaching.
