Sitting in Oblivion is an important category of Chuang-Tzu's philosophy thought more than 2000 years ago, which means making the subject achieve the detached and transcendent mind-body state through controlling and regulating the law of soul and consciousness. And virtual reality art is a new kind of art form flourished from the 21st century, which could give users the mind-body experience of immersion. In fact, it is a kind of commitment and integrated self-denying state, which has some similarity with the artistic conception of sitting in oblivion. Since sitting in oblivion has the effects of prolonging one's life and increasing one's wisdom, exploring virtual reality art in depth could find the"sitting-in oblivion virtual reality art", which also have certain positive effects in inspiring the potential of human beings.Sitting-in oblivion virtual reality art is the organic integration of sitting in oblivion and virtual reality art, an advanced form type of virtual reality art. Based on the experience of it, the users can not only produce immersive feel, but also gain optimization in physiology and psychology.
