On The Aesthetic Pursuit Of Public Security Literature In The New Period

Public security literature, as an important part of the Chinese contemporary literature, has developed rapidly in the new period. It not only inherits the fine traditions of former ancient detective novels, but also fully absorbs the essence of the western detective stories, furthermore, it combines with the spirit of the times. So public security literature forms its unique aesthetic qualities which can fully embody the particularity of the contemporary public security literature and the specific expectations of contemporary readers.This paper contains three parts of the new period public security literature: the characteristics, aesthetic pursuits, aesthetic loss. Part I discusses the origin and subject content of new period public security literature, and reveals its special connotation on the basis of clarifying the origin and development of public security literature in new period. This special connotation always adheres to the spiritual pursuit of "heroism", and has deep historical meaning and vitality of the artistic integrity, and it has a sense of responsibility with the spirit of the rule of law. Part II describes the aesthetic pursuit of public security literature in three levels which include the beauty of literary language, the beauty of literary image, and the beauty of literary connotation. In the surface of aesthetic structure, the public security literature has a unique narration method and plot mode, which can produce a strong attraction and aesthetic appeal; in the middle structure of aesthetic, the public security literature pays equal attention to "aesthetic" and "ugliness", the image of offender, the image of police and the image of"gray people"among the"beautiful and ugly"supplement each other; in the deep structure of the aesthetic, with the increasing of literary connotation and humanity, the rational perception of social history and aesthetics of philosophy in some outstanding works become deepen gradually . Part III affirms the achievements of public security literature, and gives some reflective consideration about the loss of aesthetic literature at the same time, hoping to raise the awareness of the community and the public security organs at all levels, which can promote the healthy development of public security literature.
