On The Narrative Strategy And Aesthetic Pursuit Of Crossing Novels

The Time-travel novel is a new type of literature originated and developed from the internet.With the popularization of network culture and the emergence of young people as its main consumers,it has become a popular cultural and literary phenomenon in the society.Time-travel novels,with easy-to-understand language and unique aesthetic features,tells about stories only existing in fantasy level of crossed time and space,thus meeting the audience's reading expectations.The study of time-travel novels not only has a guiding value for its own sound development,but also has a revelatory significance for the construction of literature.At present,the domestic academia has not yet carried out a comprehensive and systematic study of time-travel novels.After studying the relevant literature,the writer of this paper wish to start with the basic narrative methods of time-travel novels,and then analyzing its basic narrative features basing on the background of popular culture,and explore the aesthetic value implied in its text,so as to discover the cultural significance of time-travel novels.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly focuses on the definition,type,cultural background and the development of the time-travel novels.The second chapter introduces the narrative strategies of the time-travel novels,and from a postmodern perspective,analyzes the text of such novels with the selected typical examples with theories combined to explain the unique narrative charm of the works from three main perspectives: the crossover narrative form of ancient and modern times,the unique narrative perspective,and the entertainment-oriented narrative techniques.The third chapter studies the aesthetic features of time-travel novels from the perspective of literary aesthetics.Whether it is the beauty of freedom embodied by the travel between ancient and modern time and space,the beauty of the conflict caused by cultural differences,or the absurd beauty produced by the game of the virtual world,they all embody the special aesthetic value of the subject.The fourth chapter focuses on the aesthetic pursuit of time-travel novels.First,time-travel novels succeed in achieving the aesthetic participation of the reader and is a manifestation of civilian aesthetic taste,as the internet is known for its interactivity and that the creation and distribution of the novels is free of many limitations.Second,poetry and song,piano and flute and other classical culture factors are intergrated into the subject novels to create a virtual poetic space,to meet the audience's historical participation and emotional release.Third,the reader may achieve the dream of a "poetic life" via time-travel novels.It is justifiable to say that the time-travel novel is the product of the technological progress.While technology is the primary operation,art is the crystallization of the spirit.Whether or not the time-travel novel will end up as only a short-lived phenomenon or continue to develop as a classic literature and art form is hard decide now.However,with the correct use of digital media technology under the premise of actively learning from the essence of classical art,time-travel novels may be blooming dazzling light.
