On the one hand it researches their situation in spreading in china and analyses their character and causes in each quarter, on the other hand it researches the current situation and achievement of these works spreading in west. status and analyses their successful factors and existed problems based on the cross-cultural communication. According to this, the paper finds present situation of "Zen - Wu" elements and other elements by film and television in china and in west, and pointed out the future development situation: cultural value identification is the basis of spread, native culture connotation is the core of shaolin culture, study and exchange will enrich link of transmission. Then author try to put forward some practical proposals, in order that the films and television can protect the cultural core in cross-cultural communication and also return to the Shaolin culture of'Zen-Wu in one'.
