The Study Of Modern Chinese Other Words-DMs

Discourse markers in speech communication is the special pragmatic component which the speaker use to show their views and attitudes,Its in-depth study would help to understand the people's cognitive psychology, and could more scientific to explain the process of discourse and understanding of the construction. Discourse markers from the partial or overall constraints guide the people's communication, and make the discourse more coherent, so in proper use of discourse markers can improve the efficiency of verbal communication. Therefore, the research on discourse markers is significant.This class of discourse markers as the research object to relevance theory and continuity theory as the theoretical basis, using a combination of description and interpretation methods, from logical, pragmatic, communicative and so different perspectives were discussed. This first part of the system sorted out the domestic and international discourse markers in the situation and point out the deficiencies. The second part defined the discourse markers from syntactic, semantic and pragmatic perspectives. The third part based on the second part defines the other words-DMs. Firstly, through the corpus summarizes the definition of other words-DMs; Secondly, other word-DMs were classified, and compared the differences of language, the subjective level between the classes; Again, from a logical point of view of the other words-DMs connection between the front and rear entries, divided into two types: compatibility and incompatibility relations; Finally, analyzed the other words- DMs's connecting of the deep semantic relations. The fourth part in base of the coherence theory and relevance theory, introduced other words-DMs discourse function and communicative function. The last one is the conclusion, which clarify the main innovation of this paper and the presence of some of the limitations specified for the future direction and research.
