This article According to the literature books and records of the Dunhuang documents, from the state system, geographical environment, religious belief, angles, of the Tang and early Song dynasties pray for rain activities in the region analyzed. Especially new ideas have put forward in analysis of"He Yuwen" and interpretation of Mogao Cave 23, "Rain farming map" .He Yuwen research on, for better people originated in the Tang Dynasty, has long been neglected, as part of the activities of the He prayed for rain rain events impression. The re-interpretation of Mogao Cave 23, for "rain farming map" provide new material to the Zoroastrian studies.Through the above discussion, we can see that the activities of the Tang Dynasty pray for rain so that other ritual activities in the context of the Tang Dynasty ritual activity characteristic shown. But perhaps it is because it's unique natural , economic, political and cultural environment to make it representative. For us to pray for rain today, the activities of the Tang Dynasty and the study of ritual, religion, folk customs have been facilitated.
