At the initial stage of Anti-Japanese war, Japanese soldiers seldom surrendered because of their instilled loyalty to the Emperor and the denial to be the captives. As the war continues, more Japanese soldiers were captured and in order to win over anti-war power,"Awakening Alliance","Japanese Anti-war Alliance""Japanese Liberation Alliance", etc were set up in liberated areas under the active support of the Communist Party of China .After establishing of these alliances, they not only helped the eighth route army and the new forth army to propagandize against the enemies , but also played active roles in production, construction, hygienic service, etc. Japanese anti-war alliances were characterred with being well organized and of high level of alliance members; therefore, they were more effective comparing with alliances working in white area. During the anti-war period, Japanese anti-war campaign in liberated areas not only disintegrated the enemy forces and played important role for capturing last win, but displayed the effectiveness of prisoner policy made by Communist Party of China and reflected the friendship between the people in two countries as well.
