The Study Of Chuanshan Dialect In Guilin

Chuanshan dialect is one of the branches of Guibei dialect, being surrounded by Guilin official language. It is greatly affected by the official language. this paper consists of five chapters.Chapter one is introduction, it briefly talks about the history , geographical position, populationand language of Chuanshan county.Chapter two presents an account of the phonological system of Chuanshan dialect, including its initial consonant, compound vowel and tone. In Chuanshan dialect , there are 18 initial consonant ,41 compound vowels and 6 tones.Chapter three is the comparison on initial consonant , compound vowel and tone between Chuan - Shan dialect and the dialects in the nearly places (Including Yanshan, Dahe, Sanj ie Liangjiang, Sitang the five representive places).From the comparison , We can see that Chuanshan dialect is close to Yanshan dialect. In chapter four I made a comparison between Chuanshan dialect and medieval phonology and depict its development from medieval times to the present time in its initial consonant ,compound vowel and tone.Chapter five is a description of phonological characters, the main characters of its initial consonants are the three sets of affricates , j initial consonant, ancient fei initial consonant, fuinitial consonant and feng initial consonant were regared as one unit; On vowel, there are andavowel, part of nasal sounds yunwei in putonghua were read kai syllable yunwei , The distributionof sihu is different to putonghua ; On tone , every ping tone shang tone and qu tone were devided into yin and yang ,there is no ru toneChapter six is the several problems on Pinghua in the north of Guangxi. It briefly discuss that the component absorbs from official language, on youdu syllable, the basic characteristic on Pinghua in the north of Guangxi..From the comparison ,We can see that Chtianshan dialect is close to Yanshan dialect.
