The purpose of this paper is to show why current TV programming is changing and how programs and audiences interact to affect these changes upon society which will result in new different viewing choices in the future, and the development and success of TV enterprises who understand the desires of the viewing public.Because of advances in science and technology and changing cultural patterns, TV and audience interaction are more focused on the quality and variety of TV programs, which cultivates and promotes viewers responses. The paper puts forward that television is a kind of typical pop cultural entertainment with a wide audience. Analyzed on the basis of social interactive theory, linguistics, cultural studies and mass communication, a conclusion can be drawn that the process of television broadcasting and its mass interpretations are built on an interactive television system; that is, television and people affect each other and thus affect society. It is pointed out in the paper that because controlled media is often used as a powerful tool for political discourse, TV and audience interaction represents a democratic ideology which greatly contributes to the spreading of humanistic spirit among societies. Eventually televisions will act as the medium of social interaction play an important role in promoting social benefit.Television enterprises will intensify their efforts to interact with their audience to improve social interaction.
