As the basic object of personality reserarch, the relationship between society and individual is one of central issues of social psychology. The 1920s, the theory circles shifted the visual angle of personality study from psychology to culture, many scholares began the cutural study of personality and social act from various angles, and investigation to the relationship between culture and personality from different sides.In order to reveal the relationship between culture and personality and discuss the specified personality phenomenon from various culture level , this paper is based on our native culture, investigating the relationship between society and individual by the category----"National Character" of social psychology. It is to be taken in four parts, part one and part two discusses the moulding which the cultural tradition puts to native basic personality at different times, analysing mainly the internal relationship between specified culture formation and basic personality by describing the basic personality type of feudal culture and traditional socialist culture. Part three discusses mainly the rise of the market culture. Part four discusses mainly the influence witch the market culture puts to the modern personality trend by describing the internal relationship between cultural changes and personality development..
