The Functional mechanism of state politics with strong political color is often neglected by historians in their studying states in early China. Actually, this, along state conception, reflects the particular culture type of state. They're equally conditioned by the means that makes a state."Paragon politics" stands the mainstream of state functional mechanism in early China. One consequence of its working is that people are likely to employ and reform such political systems as rituals and laws, but the result is widely divergent from the original intention. The supervision of laws influenced by many factors as it is, comes up with contrary effects. And it is understandably the case with other systems. The whole mechanism survives in the continual fusion of new systems that keep emerging while destroyed and repaired meanwhile, which characterizes the state functional mechanism in China. The thesis includes six parts as following:Part One Analyzing "Paragon Politics" influenced the essential factor else of the functional mechanism of state politics, example for the code of etiquette, the educational system the policy of assessing the government officials proficiency and the legal system.Part Two Discussing the ritual, working as the displaying form of the Paragon Politics has two meanings: one is its every action, the other is its really meaning. People usually make use of the first meaning to satisfy their other fame and wealth. So the ritual's reputation is not supported.Part Three Elaborating that the model teached and guided in the school. The ruler exploited the education to gather the masses together. They lay stress on the enlightening people by education. Teachers defend the ritual. People study the code of etiquette from schools.Part Four Discussing the policy of assessing the government officials. Many people often formalist the policy and pay attention to their selfish desire, so the character of the policy is formalisms. Many sham phenomena have come into being.Part Five Legal system, working as a manner of control, is effected by the Paragon Politics. Law compromised the power and influence. Criminals exploited the law to plead for themselves. Ordinary people have no power, so the law couldn't defend their interest.Part Six is summarizing.
