This thesis chiefly presents diachronic and synchronic comparison and analysis of reading comprehension tests data among Band4, Band6, TOEFL and ORE to explore the developing trend of reading comprehension test and differences in reading comprehension test design between inside and abroad.The paper is hopeful of having some practical value, helping English teachers gain more understanding towards reading comprehension tests and improve teaching effect on reading course, and being able to provide some helpful data for reading comprehension test designers.
