It's an important period from A.C.1511 that the Western Colonizers met the Chinese commercial influence first in Southeast Asia, to A.C. 1842 that China was forced to open ports for free trade by through military measures. In a side aspect, me Guangdong porcelain exportation showed the change and development process of the traditional foreign trade not only Guangdong but also the whole country. It's an area worthy of great attention in the history of Sino-foreign relations. The paper probes into it in three chapters.Chapter one analyses the original producing area, variety and quality of the porcelain which shipped from Guangdong, according to the collection and archeological disentombment of domestic and overseas, as well as the literature about porcelain production of Guangdong and Jiangxi in Ming and Qing dynasties.Chapter two discusses the diversification between rise and fall and it's characteristic of the Guangdong porcelain exportation in different periods from a macroscopical angle by considering the compositive factors from the political and economic aspects of China and foreign countries.Chapter three expatiates on the commercial behaviors of different country's merchants from a mircosmic angle in an effort to summarize the foreign demands on Chinese porcelain as well as their commercial behaviors features under different countries' political and cultural background.
