| The present paper takes an all round and systematic view of the development and evolutionary process of the Western Metaphysics,which is pieced together by a dynamic thought so as to inquire into man' s developed thinking traces during the course of the ideological understanding to the metaphysical approches.Guided by this thought ,the author finds that the traditional metaphysical Ontology,Epistemology and Methodology are reciprocal integrated and causative.Meanwhile ,this development process also acts in cooperation.The traditional Metaphysics is presented as the following three forms .-Substatialism in Ontology,i.e.the pursuit of the eternally and absolutely ultimate aim;the request for the absolute truth in Epistemology,-the dichotomy of the subject and the object and also a kind of static and fixed thinking model in Methodology.These basic characteristics are all well versedn in the development of the traditional Metaphysics from the very beginning to the end .In this paper the author briefly analyses the philosophical background and reasons which caused these characteristics.This analysis goes deeply into the essence of Metaphysics.In other word ,this paper not only briefly introduces the general development process of the Metaphysics but also tries to find out the philosophical foundation determining this evolutionary process .To sum up, the purpose of this paper is to help readers have a genereal acquaintance with inner secret and the philosophical mechanism of the Western Metaphysics. |
