Interpersonal conflicts among preschoolers are a basic and common relational form. As a part of children's life, they are inevitable, so they should not and cannot be eliminated completely. The author believes that through preschoolers' peer conflicts, we can identify their developmental levels in the fields of social cognition, social feelings and social skills. In addition, these conflicts represent a challenging relational situation for preschoolers' social development in the whole, so they should be considered valuable experience for children.However, because many teachers are not able to realize these points, they don't grasp the moment of preschoolers' learning opportunity in such conflictive situations. As a result, the values of those conflicts are neglected usually.As to the role of peer conflicts in preschoolers' social development, the previous studies are scare. In this paper, the author begins with the observative research ,attempting to get a clear picture of what happens in preschoolers' peer conflicts which includes teachers' behavior, and analyses the cause of peer conflicts from the aspects of preschoolers' cognitive level and the environmental factors. Then the potential values of the interpersonal conflict situations contributing to preschoolers' social development are deeply provided. In final, the author puts forward several guidance strategies in detail, in order to use some typical conflictive situation, make their potential values real, and advance preschoolers' social development truly.
