A Study Of The Vocabulary In Jiu Tang Shu

Jiu Tang Shu was finished in Houjin of Wudai dynasty. It is an important historical book about the history of Tang dynasty. Compared with Xin Tang Shu finished in BeiSong,it is more common. There is a lot of oral language and much value in the researches of the vocabulary history. This thesis is targeted at this book and aimed at providing some useful material in deep vocabulary research of this book through arguing some words in it.Based on holding correctly the character of Jiu Tang Shu,this thesis describes and investigates the new words and the new meanings of it. It also diachronically compares and synchronically describes the characteristic the same kind of words from the synchronic and diachronic hands. Through these initial studies,we can conclude that there is a lot of work to do on the vocabulary of Jiu Tang Shu and affirm its value in the history of the Chinese vocabulary.
