On The Development Of The Mining Industry In Sichuan Province During The Anti-Japanese War

This thesis concentrates on the development of the mining industry in Sichuan province during the Anti-Japanese War. The author holds that the reasons of the development were the rapid expansion of the market of the mineral products caused by the rapid development of the other subdivisions of industry, especially the metallurgical industry and the machine building in Sichuan after the War broke out, the promotion of the political position of Sichuan , the advance created by the factories moved from the coastal provinces and the great attention paid by the Government of Kuomintang. With those factors, the mining industry in Sichuan had developed in all-around way during the Anti-Japanese War, including the remarkable increase of the factories and the products and the distinct improvement of the techniques.
