The period of Anti Japanese war is not only an important period for the development of higher education in China,but also a critical period for the survival of higher education in China.At the beginning of the Anti Japanese War,the Japanese aggressors aimed at the higher education institutions of our country and tried to destroy the root of our education.Universities in China were forced to move in to avoid the war.A large number of universities moved to Sichuan for various reasons.Sichuan shouldered the historical mission of protecting our country's education.During this period,the development of Sichuan's education has made a very important writing in the history of China's education.This study is based on the development of colleges and universities in Sichuan Province during the Anti Japanese War,through consulting the archives,school history,Memoirs of personal experience and other relevant materials left by colleges and universities during the Anti Japanese war.From the aspects of human,material and financial resources,this paper combs the assistance of Sichuan government agencies,local universities and the general public to Sichuan universities during the Anti Japanese war.It includes material transportation support for colleges and universities moving to Sichuan;care for teachers and students on the way to Sichuan;site selection and building construction of the school;purchase of books and equipment for running the school;provision of teaching practice opportunities;subsidy for teachers;raising of school funds,etc.At the same time,it summarizes and analyzes the achievements of Sichuan Education Development during the Anti Japanese war.
