The aesthetic education thought of Wang Guowei' s is the beginning of Chinese modern aesthetic education. His thought was founded on two different cultures: one is Chinese traditional culture,the other is the western culture. As a Chinese intellectual, he was deeply impressed by traditional culture. When he absorbed the western aesthetic education theory, he used some western advanced theories, scientific thinking methods to criticize some Chinese ancient theories, and formed his own theory.There are some problems in the currently aesthetic education' s practice, such as the lack of understanding the particularity of aesthetic education , the difference between the aesthetic education and other educational methods is indistinct, the aesthetic education is still a part of moral education or a tool for carrying out other educational methods,the aesthetic education is not as a subject in our teaching activities. Wang Guowei indicated the aesthetic education was of visual characteristic, superutilitarian and independent and aesthetic education, moral education and intellectual education was reciprocityand interactional. All these theories help to relize the aim of education to train the people who are well developed at moral 'education, moral education and intellectual education and so on.
