WangYang-ming(1472-1529)was the great master of zhe Confucianists and Learning of het mind. Bing influenced by Chinese traditional philosophy and culture ,Wang Yang-ming paid much attention to fostering ideal personality, and "zhe doctrine of fostering ideal personality" is zhe core of his theory system of Learning of het mind. Centring on how to foster ideal personality,Wang Yang-ming formed a whole set of personality aesthetics. The thesis is divided into three parts to discuss it.Part One : the producing of Wang Yang-ming' s personality aesthetics.As a result of the corrupt royal court,the dispirited ways of the world , the contradictory feeling state of the officials and the rigid doctrine theory of ChengZhu, Wang Yang-ming did his utmost to advocate ideal personality so that he could save the current political situation. Absorbing thought nutrition from the Confucianism, Buddhism and Tao, Wang Yang-ming formed his personality aesthetics through "Awakening to Tao in Longchang" , "Making clear Tao in calming down the armed rebellion" and "Demonstrating Tao in Tianquan" at last.Part Two : the content of Wang Yang-ming' s personality aesthetics.Wang Yang-ming' s personality aethetics containstheories of "The spiritual realm" , "Experience" and"Education" . "The theory of spiritual realm" discusseswhat the ideal personality is. "Joy and the originalsubstance" , "The unrestrained mind" , "Freedom" and"Regarding all things as one body" are not only ideal statebut also inherent stipulation of ideal personality that Wang Yang-ming made. This spiritual realm is achieved gradually during the aethetic experience rather than depending on cognition. "Silence with the flowers" , "Reaction" are vivid descriptions about aethetic experience. The theory of education probed into how to develop ideal personality. At this point, Wang Yang-ming raised some specific ways of aethetic education , such as "fostering personality in accordance with their aptitude" , "Pulling out the root and filling in the source" and "Singing poets, practicing courtesy, reading books" .The State Theory is a still analysis of ideal personality from transverse section but Experience and Education Theories are developed analyses about ideal personality forming from vertical section.Part Three : the meaning of Wang Yang-ming' s personality aesthetics .Wang Yang-ming paid much attention to spirit meaning of ideal personality and raised some feasible educated ways. These respects have positive meanings to building personality aethetirs of the present age.Conclusion : As a organic part of Wang Yang-ming' s theory system, zhe personality aesthetics had abundant content and made great effect on personality theory not only at that time but also today.
