The mural of temples in Fujian and Taiwan is the important part of this district culture,containing the folk faith, folk art...etc. So the research of the temple mural in this area is also an important aspect of the Folk Faith Study. Some Taiwanese scholar have already involved this lesson, but just make a handful of work and did not do the in- depth research.The mainland scholars up to now did not set feet in this topic, and this realm is still blank. According to several thousands of photographs which are collected from more than 300 temples in this district, I complished this research thesis with the methods of history, sociology,art...The contents of this thesis t mainly include types of temple's mural, art characteristics of the temple's mural, district characteristics of the temple's mural, functions of the temple's mural.. .etc.
