In this document, the Hierarchical Linear Model theory is used to analysis the influence factors of student level and classroom level on sophomores English studying effective, the results indicate that the most important factors that influence on sophomores English studying effective are still from the individual student, which take about 83% of the total variance. But the classroom level factors can not be ignored which take about 17% of the total variance. According to the influence strength , the factors in student level are the entrance English score, sex, the degree of participating in English classroom, the degree of attention that be paid to CET. 4 test, the time spent in English studying, the SL ,the type of English studying, the family background in proper order. The factors in classroom level are the proportion of girl students, the teacher's role, the class competition consciousness, the teachers teaching attitude. The teachers teaching attitude weaken the influence strength of sex on the CET. 4 score, the class competition consciousness strengthen the influence strength of the entrance English score on the CET. 4 score.
