Content: Japan-US Security Alliance System has transmuted gradually with the transformation of international situation after World War II. Due to the disintegration of the old Cold War's world, this tie has changed into a totally new one, which with military alliance as core, with multilateral security dialogue as supplement, and with military power as support. It is a significant reference for us to study many problems, such as the transformation of international pattern, the tendency of Japanese and American national strategies, region security mechanism etc. Starting from the end of World War Hand ending at the beginning of the new century, this thesis performs macroscopically analyses of the transmuting process of Japan-US Security Alliance System, uncovers the intrinsic and extrinsic reasons of its evolution, and further reveals the characteristics and essence of this new Japan-US Security Alliance System via analyzing all kinds of phenomenon exhibited in the process of transmutation. Moreover, my thesis analyzes systematically the radial effects of this new alliance system on regional politics, economy, military, and foreign policy; and tries to find out reasonable countermeasures to deal with current situation.
