A writer's literature ideology is the condensation of his creative experiences and aesthetic ideas. Study on a writer's literary ideology, we can benefit from his great achievements. As French great writer in the 19th century, De-Balzac's contribution to the world's literature is remarkable. However, in Balzac's literature ideology, there are some problems that have not been interpreted clearly. In this thesis, basing on previous fruits, I study Balzac's literary ideology so as to reveal the theory enigmas twisting around Balzac.Basing on Balzac's literary comments, prefaces and postscripts, integrating his literature practices, regarding his understanding of literary essence as clue, adopting the method of combining general theory principles and practices, the intention of this thesis is to summarize and interpret Balzac's literature ideology.This thesis consists of four parts:1.Introduction. This part is the generalization of studies on Balzac's literary ideology, including reason of studying Balzac's literature ideology.2.Soul course: the development of Balzac's literary ideology. This part inquires how Balzac who had been a impetuous literary youth grown into a great realistic writer. The development of Balzac's literary ideology is a complicated course. After experiencing the literature view of Classicism, secular literature, Romanticism and so on, he realized the defects of these literary forms and began to seek a new literature form to display social life. The ugly aspects of the social life was also exposed. Owing to the resultant force of various factors, Balzac gradually formed his realistic literary ideology.3. Theory brilliance: the main contents of Balzac's literary ideology. This part is the main body of this thesis. Balzac's literary ideology concentrates on his literaturecomments, prefaces and postscripts. In his literary ideology, the scattered forms don't mean the scattered ideas. In this part. I discuss his literary ideology in four respects of literature essence, writing subject, writer mission and literary foundation.4.Echoing of era: modern significance of Balzac's literary ideology. In this part, by means of integrating history and realization, the revelation Balzac's literary ideology provided to present literature is discussed. In some respects such as the pursuit of free aesthetic state, the attention to realization, inheriting and creating, Balzac's literary ideas are worth benefiting for contemporary writers. In the course of interpreting academic idea, 1 discuss the modern significance of Balzac's literary ideology in four respects.
