On The Performing Characteristics Of Revised Chinese Folk Songs

Folk song is one of the main song forms of Chinese traditional vocal music and develops a variety of types and styles. The revision for folk song, being an exclusive art form, bears very special quality and cannotation.Based on the different original tone of the revised folk songs, the author, taking the revision for folk song as tackling target, classified the revised Chinese folk songs into two main classes as rearranged folk song and newly revised one. And, a comparison for the characteristics of the performances has also been made.The author divided the article into two parts, the first one, the author analyzed the distinguish feature for the rearranged folk song in performances. In the aspects of the performance techniques, the language used in performances, the back ground words, the rhythm, the performer's cultural background and the stage environments, the author compared the rearranged folk song and traditional one, and also analyzed the rearranged Shichuan folk song ( Xiu He Bao...embroider pouch), and also , the author goes deeply into the scientific approach of the rearranged folk song performance techniques, the flexibility of the language used, the regularity of the back ground words used, and the regularity of the rhythm, and also the pattern of the acoustics catering for the modern societyIn the second part, through the analysis of the Chinese folk song ( Meng Jiang Niu, word by Liu Lin, music by Wang zhi xin), North Shanxi folk song ( Zhou xi kou, word by Dang yong an, music by Bai Bing quan), the author explicated the characteristics of the application of different techniques of sound production in the performance of revised folk songs.
