Zhu Jian'er is a famous Chinese modern composer, whose music works have enjoyed great popularity since 1940s when he got on to work at music. His style refers to various aspects, such as vocal music, instrumental music. etc. However, his representative works are mainly symphony. As a diligent adventurer in the field of Chinese symphony, Zhu Jian'er has become a remarkable signpost in the history of Chinese modern music. Combining together Chinese and foreign conventional thoughts, technicals and concepts in aneient and modern times, he continuously explores and creats something new in the course of music creation, in order to build a new rood for the development of Chinese music: which should be based on the profound nationality characteristic, aiming at surpassing all the old, it is tolerant and open-minded enough to absorb both ancient and modern elements, Chinese and foreign advantages. His eleven symphony works have all reflected prominent nationality features.In music circle, There have already been a lot of demonstrations about Zhu Jian'er symphony works, which, however, mainly focus on their creative spirit. Trying emphasing on the distinctive nationality features, this article will explore out the fundament of Zhu Jian'er's symphony works from the angle of the creation of symphony. The main topics lie on The Eighth Symphony"Exploring" and The Tenth Symphony "Snow on River".The article is made up of four components:â… .The introduction of Zhu Jian'er's The Eighth Symphony "Exploring" and The Tenth Symphony"Snow on River", and the significance made by the selection of these two pieces of works for illustrating the works' nationality features.â…¡. The adoption of Characteristic nationality instruments and tones and the discussion about the works' nationality features by illustration three examples: one is the adoption of 5 Temple blocks in The Eighth Symphony "Exploring"; the second in the adoption of zither like seven-stringed instrument in The Tenth Symphony "Snow on River"; the third is the nationality tones used in "Mei hua san nong".â…¢.The adoption of characteristic nationality means: the discussion about the nationality features in the creation course by talking about the chanting, the structures of Chinese traditional music style and the arrangement of sounds speed in these two pieces of works.â…£. The influence on Zhu Jian'er's music creation form the concept of "significance is commonplace" in Chinese traditional opera music. It does some research on its nationality features by analyzing the organization of band, the creation of instrumental performance technicals, the adoption of music subjects and the implied thoughts in it.Selling music creation as the starting point, the article analyses the distinctive nationality features in these two pieces of works. Undoubtedly, creating is very important. The significance of this exploration on nationality creation lies on the key point that is how to inherit the old, create the new and develop farther in the course of music creation.
