The most remarkable characteristic of Ming and Qing times deferent from former dynasties is that commodity economy gets involved in the inside of creation, and the external links of graphics art noumenon as well. The research on this phenomenon has significant meaning for the art history. In this paper the author mainly focuses on the excavation and arrangement of the contemporary documents. The author pays much attention to the text criticism and historical facts, and tries his best to avoid making this paper a re-presentation of painting history of Ming and Qing Dynasty. Basing on the synchronism, the author analyzes the links which reflect the influence of commodity economy on the painting, such as the cultural environment, the supply-demand relationship of the market, the businessman's function, the anti-neutralized tendency of painting aesthetics and the analysis on the pros and cons of influence of commodity factors on the painting in Ming and Qing Dynasty. The author also introduces some representative schools influenced by the commodity economy. By this paper the author offers some references for the development of the calligraphy and painting art guided by the market economy today, thus, promotes the painting art market to take shape further and develop soundly.
