Not only to satisfy nowadays people's need in natural resources but also to save more for our offsprings during the course of development, which is known as sustainable development. Sustainable development strategy was first put forward formally on the UN' Environment and Development Conference held in Brail in 1992. It was on that conference the sustainable development was taken as a common strategy to development of 21st century and the new theory was converted to global practice for the first time . From the conference on,The theory of sustainable development was well-known by the world and began to play an important role. The paper will take up the environmental ethics of Sustainable Development from three aspects . Chapter one illustrates the present situation of the global environmental crisis and analyses the causes ofThe crisis ,the basic views of human-centrism and non- human-centrism. While human beings are enjoying modern material wealth and reveling in profits reaped from the nature , the earth which they depended on has been afflicted with all ills. During the development of industry civilization, many people tend to be slaves to money and material wealth somehow. Moreover, commercial economic emphasizes more on individuality than the interests of the whole society. Capital nature such as individual interests, free competition, survival of the fittest has resulted in the polarity between rich and poor, removed the economical base on which moral depends to survive. Thetraditional Anthropocentrism which offer the theory base for industrial-civilization development, has brought about indifference to the interal-value of the nature and self-important of the human being. While non-anthropectrism opposed treating the nature charvinismly and wtititarianismly and advocated treating all living things humanismly.Chapter two discusses the definitions and relationships between sustainable development and Environmental Ethics. The theory of sustainable development is a conscious choice. A series of tragedies resulted from the unreasonable economic growth and industrializationgoing with wasting of natural resources has shown that the economic growth which is at the cost of destroying the nature is not real development but destruction. Hence, that also caused the unsustainable development of the economy and society. Environmental crisis created actually by the human beings themselves as a result of inappropriate using natural resources. Environment protection has a close relationship with the realization with the realization of sustainable development: the former is the presupposition of the latter, only by realizing the sustainable development car the environment be truly protected. Sustainable development concept, a profounded reform in human development concepts, has changed people' concepts in nature, moral and social values and laid a scientific theory foundation of the sustainable ,stable development of human society.Chapter 3 is the key part of the paper , which discusses the basic content and theory of the environmental ethics of sustainable development and its practical significance . People has come to realize from the consequences ofblinded economic growth that human beings , belonging to a part of nature , should develop harmoniously with nature not just conquer or tame it, as is the core of environmental ethics. Environmental ethics involves using the natural resources fairly and protection of nature. Sustainable developing environment fair includes in-generation environment fair, that is to say internation and demostic environment fair , between- generation environment fair and the realization of environmental rights. The recent serious situation is the extremely unfair consumption and occupation of natural resources between the developed countries and the developing countries and the unequal opportunities they get. Here I doadevocate the environment fair and be harmonious with nature; any country no matter rich or poor, small or big, should work together to make our e...
