Content: This thesis attempts to explore the unique features of XiaoHong's novels from the aspect of gender ,and by doing that sexualize them. The article falls into three divisions. The first chapter put her novels under the background of literature and art during The War of Resistance Against Japan; combined with the comparison and constrast with other writers, and tries to analyze the author's points of view on novel and subject. The second chapter elaborates on her concern and mastery about women's fate and her meditation on the various characters the novels involved; the relationship between the female narrator and the characters ;the literary significance of female writings as well. The third chapter analyzes the core problem in her novels; that is the contemplation and criticism over national characters. It also reveals her position as a female writer in the comparision with LuXun from three aspects, and tries to comment on the double meanings of national writing. Through the analysis of XiaoHong's novels from different stratum, this thesis hopes to master her female perspective on the whole .
