The Development Of Modern Communication And The Transition Of Society In Hunan

There are close relations between development of communication and transition of society. In certain area, during certain period, the development of communication could signify the production and life of the society. In this article, the author observe through the development of communication in modern times as well as the interaction between the development of communication and transition of society. The article is divided into four parts.The first part introduced the traditional communication in Hunan, including communication along water route and land route. An objective appraisal is given to traditional communication.The second part analyze the impetus of the development of modern communications. The author believe that economic impetus is the most basic impetus, and that political impetus result in both positive and negative effects.The third part separately introduce the developmental courses of steam ship transportation, railway and highway. A tendency is generalised that modern communication was taking the place of traditional communication.The fourth part analyzed modern communication' s influence upon economy, politics, social life and popular thoughts ideas. It is proved that transition of society owes a lot to the development of modern communication.It is generalised that the effects from the development of communication were differen from or more than people' s original expectations. Considering this, we should notice all the effects of communication while developing it, so that development of communication and transition of society would promote each other.
