At the end of Qing Dynasty, Taiping Revolution caused Hunan's population to decrease. In The Republic of China, as a result of the establishment of the modern public health and the relief facilities, the death rate of Hunan's population had been dropped greatly. Along with the transformation of epidemic disease, Hunan's population had kept high growth rate .The third part probes into the relations between change ofHunan's population and transition of society in Modern times. The relations between the changes of Hunan's population and transition of society in Modern times showed conflict.
