Xie Zhuang was a famous writer in LiuSong Dynasty. He was also an important writer of the Xie Literature Group during Six-Dynasties, and had far-reaching influence on later literature-creating. But academic circles put little emphasis on the study of Xie Zhuang's works all along. In fact, he made great contribution to the development of poem's phonology and the form of rhythmical prose. It is necessary and meaningful to arrange, collate and annotate the works of such an important writer. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction. In this part, the author has made a rough inquiry about Xie Zhuang's life, ideal and contribution to the literature. In addition, a detailed analysis of content, artistic characteristics and spreading of his works has been made. The second part is the collation and annotation of his works(articles and poems).Four articles and three poems have been collated and annotated. It is an important point to give the meaning of the words or sentences that cannot be understood easily. During annotating, it's most difficult to indicate the source of the allusion in his works. The third part is the chronicle of Xie Zhuang's life. Readers can get more detailed information about Xie Zhuang's life, friendship and works.
