In the twentieth century, the most important thing is that the appearance and development of the Western Modern Art. It's born in Europe, and then diffused over the world quickly through different kinds of ways. In China, at the beginning, it' s influence is more weaken through some pieces of information translated by some students abroad. Modern Art Movement did not burst out until late 1920's on the basis of Great Beijing Art Meeting launched by Lin Fengmian. In 1928, he organized the National Art Movement Society at Hangzhou Academy with the help of his friends and colleagues. Later another Modern Art Movement (the Storm Society) appeared in Shanghai in 1931. In 1934 the Chinese Independent Art Association came into Canton. Among so many art organizations in 1930' s, the National Art Movement Society, the Storm Society and the Chinese Independent Art Association had more influence on the Chinese art field for developing Modern Art. For the needs of times or interests, they pursued and propagandized Modern Art, and launched Modern Art Movement when they came back to China. At that time, some people began to deeply understand Modern Art through their words and exhibitions. It' s true that they had brought Modern Art from its cradle to china by means of movements. But all these movements owned different organizations, members, claims and so on, and their proceduresof foundation and time were different as well. Therefore they had different processes and effects of communication. In 1948 an American, Hard Dwight Lasswell, who was a founder of Communication Studies, put forward a theory of communication process: (Who) → (Says What) → (in Which Channel) →(to Whom) → (With what effects) , "5W" briefly. Enlightened by him, I will take Modern Art as transmitting information and the process that Modern Art was introduced to China by the three organizations as Communication Process. Then I will describe their elements of communication of the National Art Movement Society, the Storm Society and the Chinese Independent Art Association in the process. Further more I will continue to compare and analyze them. At last, I will try to get a general realization of communication (Model) on Chinese Modern Art Movement between 1920' s and 1930' s. That' s my first conclusion. And the second is that I will understand, analyze and realize the similarities and differences and the disadvantage of three Modern Art Organizations from Communication Studies position in order to explain the sudden and misfortune end of Modern Art Movement in China.
