The logical start of the unique spirit of the Chinese poetic theory of "the word fails to convey the meaning" is the Chinese ancient philosophic idea of "Heaven and man make one ". The Chinese ancient philosopher put forward the man's poetic exist of "getting the Tao","forgetting" and "playing" and talked much over "the words fail to convey the meaning". In these arguments, "the word fails to convey the meaning" occupies the main position all the time. It influences the Chinese poetic theory and gradually form the unique spirit of the Chinese poetic theory. "The word fails to convey the meaning" stands out the surpassing spirit of the Chinese poetic theory. It emphasizes, the general word doesn't flow from the heart, it isn't the real say, it isn't the choice, and so we must surpass it. At the same time, it advocates the word of the Great Tao,the real word and the word flowing from the heart. Further, " the word fails to convey the meaning" accurately describes the aesthetic characteristic of the language and the deep meaning of the Chinese poems and puts forward a important aesthetic standard of the Chinese poems.The unique spirit of the Chinese poetic theory of "the word fails to convey to meaning" shows clearly the originality of the Chinese poetic theory, the overall characteristic of the Chinese poetic theory: the whole,the experience,the sensitivity, and sums up the major side and the main thread of the concept,the works and the perception of the aesthetic Chinese poems.
