The present paper looks chiefly into the aesthetic style reflected in Wangzengqi's works of the eighties and the nineties . The former are in parsuit of a harmonious style while the latter a forlorn one . Man's nature and the role as a perceiver of the world is approved in his words of the eighties, which embody his idealism of humanitarian . He shows his understand and pity on the sufferings from the resl life by exposing the tragic fate of women and deueloping the subject of sexual love in his works of the nineties . Deseribig the beauty of human nature and creating a harmonious human atmosphere is the way of commnication between the author and the times. The root of the harmony beauty derives frow the influence of the traditional doctrine of the mean and his personal experience. The rucrease of the author's tragedy awareness in his later life comes from his feelings of the troubled times and is a spivitual gift of the unique cultural atmosphere.
