Analysis On The Thought Of "Harmony" In Chinese Classical Music

There is a long history in China including various academic ideas like the stars in sky.Among them,the idea of “Harmony” runs through all the time,been attached importance to by the scholars in each field for a long time.And there are also a large amount of papers to explore the thought of “Harmony”.The author tries to explore a completely new way:exploring the “Harmony” thought of music itself and make the abstract concept more concrete.The containment and intensionality of the thought of “Harmony” are shown through the music enlightenment.The most representative one in Chinese classical music “High Mountain and Flowing Water” is chosen to be the study case in this thesis.As the typical piece spread from the ancient time to the present,the friendship between Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi has been appreciated by the later generations.And the Chinese classical thought of “Harmony” exactly exists in “High Mountain and Flowing Water” which is cooperated by the them.Thus produces the spiritual resonates of Yu and Zhong and then leads to a well-known story.This thesis analyzes the connotation in “High Mountain and Flowing Water” and its specific content,systematically combining and digesting the thought of music and philosophy.The tone quality,characteristics of performance and emotion,combination of melody,image and thought represented by the scene are analyzed,and then the emotion and scene are combined together.The abstract philosophical thoughts in “High Mountain and Flowing Water” are described and interpreted through the concrete musical features,combined with the “borderless music” and “borderless thought” to make more people enlightened.Because of the importance and containment of “Harmony”,the thought can be enduring and exists in the river of history for a very long time.Today,with the rapid development of the world,the thought of “Harmony” shows its shining point all the time.For the great practice of building a harmonious socialist society,it is necessary to establish corresponding harmonious culture.As the significant representative of harmonious culture,the thought of“Harmony” not only has an important guiding significance for building a harmonious society in China,meanwhile,but also has great value and significance for setting up a harmonious world to realize the goal of “One World,One Dream”.
