Our world is coming to new era in which the economic structure policy and rules and regulations are changing, and maybe the changes in the financial system are the most profound. For those countries, which are developing and changing their planned economy into market economy, it's most profitable to analyze and compare the developed countries' success and their failure. Japan's economy use to be prosperous, and the Eastern-Asia system attracted so much attention. The other countries in East Asia also showed great interests in Japanese financial system.However, there is no system can develop out of thin air, and a country's financial system depends on its own tradition existing system goals and policy. Through different financial systems and financial reforms have some in common, and we can learn from the other countries' success, it doesn't work to accept their system thoroughly. Analyzing its financial reform maybe a good way to make certain Japan's postwar economy development, and the main bank system relates a lot with Japan's financial system.This thesis first talk about its forming from historical factor executive support; and culture accumulation. Then have analysis of its development and its evolution, especially its difference at different period; at last the thesis gives full details of the system's character.Grasping and mastering the trend between the banks and the enterprises that the main bank reveals is surely to have a good effect on our financial reform and the relation between the banks and the enterprises. We should continue to pay more attention to Japan's economic development and its reformation of financial system in order to learn from its strong points to offset our weakness.
