Following the Mukden Incident, on September 18,1931, the Empire of Japan invaded Manchuria immediately and occupied the whole northeast of China.The Japanese established a puppet state called Manchukuo, effectively controlled over economy of the state and plundered vast natural resources and wealth. Their occupation lasted over 14 years. During this era, the puppet Manchukuo central bank was a hub institution of Japanese invasion and a critical tool of plunder. Through implementing policy of savings, currency, interest rate and exchange rate, she not only achieved monopoly lending, currency issue and bond issue but also devastated the national financial market, excluded national capital by controlling northeastern economy of China. Meanwhile she established economic and financial policy and attempt to build the northeast as a base of battlefield and source supplier. The puppet Manchukuo central bank was a vassal of Japanese invasion of northeast of China, completely helped imperial Japan to accomplish her plunder and invasion, its life terminated as imperial Japan announced unconditional surrender in 1945. Through the invasion of economy, she monopolized economic profit of northeast and obtained huge amount of supplies. The financial control of imperial Japan not only caused a severe damage to the northeastern economy and people of China, but also brought a massive disaster to other invaded countries.
