In Modem Chinese, auxiliary words had a great development. During this period, a great many auxiliary words came into being and there was adjustment in the system. Xingshiyan is a good novel-volume published in Chongzhen Years,Ming Dynasty . In the book, Chinese common language was mainly used. So the general picture of the language in the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty can be reflected on the whole. At the present time, few people have studied the auxiliary words, not mention to systematized research. Compared with Jinpingmei, which is not far from Xingshiyan in birth, the auxiliary word systems had changed much.In this thesis the author has studied the dynamic auxiliary words, structural auxiliary words and the modality particles .The paper is divided into five parts. In the preface analysis is made on auxiliary words and the value of Xingshiyan in the history of Chinese Language, making out the method used in writing and the edition pursuant. In chapter 1, chapter 2 and chapter 3, the author has made full depiction and analysis on the three kinds of auxiliary words, together with some probing explanations for the usage of them. In the conclusion part, there are generalized recapitulation of the thesis, pointing out that during the years of the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, reflected in Xingshiyan, auxiliary word systems in Chinese Language were in great evolvements.The usages of some auxiliary words in Xingshiyan have reflected the process of not only single auxiliary word's growing and declining, but also the adjustment of the whole auxiliary word systems. Compared with Mediaeval times Chinese Language and Modern Chinese Language, there is great difference between the two auxiliary word systems, which mainly is that the amount of each kind auxiliary words has grown and declined and the function of every single auxiliary word has changed too.
