The Sense Of Desolation--Zhang Ailing's Aesthetic Seeking

When we read Zhang Ailing' novels, we are always deeply shocked by the sense of desolation through the lines. My paper will explain that the sense of desolation was Zhang Ailing 's spontaneously aesthetic seeking.First, my paper inquires into the sense of desolation 's aesthetic location by Zhang Ailing herself. In my paper, I will comb carefully and try to discover her systematic and entire theoretic veins .My paper hold that from Zhang Ailing' s point of view, the sense of desolation had aftertaste of the beautiful, expressed genuine life's plain ,revealed the life, completed the wdrks .So the sense of desolation is not 'the true, the good ,the beautiful' from main ideology's point of view, but 'the true, the good ,the beautiful' from Zhang Ailing' s point of view. And from this point, seeking the sense of desolation became Zhang Ailing 'swriting tactics.Second, my paper probes into the contents of the sense of desolation of Zhang Ailing' novels. Zhang Ailing wrote the ordinary and true life. She usually used the lines of love and marriage to draw the outline of live. But in most of her love stories, we can not find the healthy and purely spiritual love. The love in her stories always blended in with this world's bustle and dirt, and marriage is out of the domain of affection, but the products of judging the comparative merits and demerits, the families are also full of unverbalized foul and sorry. Through these, she overturned all the parts and relationship between lovers and family members. By the means of this overturn, Zhang Ailing reached the height of human nature and culture, and we can feel the sorrow of human nature which is oppressed and curved by the desire for money and sexuality was willing to do evil at last .By the means of this overturn, Zhang Ailing also reached the height of surmounting thehuman nature, and we can feel the doubt of meaning of ego ,the sorrow of losing ego and seeking ego.Third, my paper discusses the sense of desolation 's aesthetic form of Zhang Ailing 's novels. Zhang Ailing was good at writing details and using gallant words to make the circumstances in her novels. Through the gallant words, we read roily era, unharminious living circumstances, curved human nature, ugly sexuality etc. Zhang Ailing also used special and meaningful imagoes to convey the "sense of being abandoned by life". She used apathy words, and always stand out of the stories. She kept detached and cold manners, so her novels are full of desperate desolation.
