Guo Xi is a famous landscape painter and theoretician in North Song Dynasty. Lin Quan Gao Zhi collects his drawing theory, a lot of propositions in which not only possess distinctive position in Chinese ancient theory of landscape painting, but also are a sum of rare treasures of Chinese ancient aesthetics history. Referring to the foundation of forefathers' research accomplishment, this paper puts Guo Xi in the development of history. Ananysizin Lin Quan Gao Zhi and the drawing works of Guo Xi, the author discloses the aesthetics value of drawing which Guo Xi painted.The content of the paper is divided into 8 parts totally: The first part, entitled "Instruction", introduces life about Guo Xi briefly, the academic research present situation about Lin Quan Gao Zhi, and the major viewpoint of this paper. The Second part discusses that Guo Xi learned from Li Cheng, but also formed his unique style. The Third part mainly elaborate "the heart of Lin Quan" aesthetics thought, which is influenced by Taoism, and has the nature of "self-accommodation ". The Forth part elaborates mainly "empathy" in aesthetics thought. The Fifth part mainly describes the question of "the mood of a art work" and "special state". Guo Xi pointed out the concept of "special state" which mixed the thoughts of Daoism and Zen and it appeared earlier than that of literary theory and distinguished from it as well. In the Sixth part, first, Guo Xi's pursuit for "far and wide state" was suitable for the aesthetic good taste of Song Dynasty. He used nonfocus perspective to achieve his goal. Then it is offered that people praised highly about his thoughts, especially "far and wide state". The Seventh part discusses Guo Xi and his thoughts are the indispensable part of culture of Song Dynasty from the point of view of " communicating poem and painting ". His thoughts were extremely the same as Su Shi in the corresponding period of Song Dynasty. The Eighth part is the appraisement about Guo Xi and the influence for offspring.
