The Intellectual Pursuit In The Modernism Poem In 1930's And 1940's

The modernism poem writing in 1930's and 1940's is a special existence. They have reaped nearly the same quantities of praises and criticisms. But after all, they have enriched Chinese modernism literature and the history of Chinese Modern Literature in the way of their own.For a long time, the modernism poem writing has been taken into consideration abundantly. This thesis attempts to discuss it in the sight of intellect which is the obvious characteristic of modernism literature.The first mission is to solve the problem 'what is intellect'. The author combs at the origin and development of intellect in the fields of philosophy, poetics and Chinese Modern Poetics history. In the concept of poetics, 'intellect' means 'wisdom', intelligence, experience, thought, philosophy, reasonable and logic partially. But it also comes from perception. In the strategy of poetics, 'intellect' means 'wit', the witness of poet to use the images filled with emotion and reason, to use dramatic factors correctly, and to use irony and paradox properly to strengthen the elasticity of language.Next, this thesis analyzes intellect in 1930's and 1940's poems and chooses Bian Zhilin, FengZhi and MuDan as the representatives. In the second, third and fourth chapters, the thesis discusses especially the intellect in the fields of their poetics idea and tactics on the basis of close reading.There are lots of differences among the poems of the three poets. And we see that there will be a lot of difficulties for us to conquer. In the future, the intellectual writing will still be a kind of writing possibility.
