On Jin Yue-Lin's Thoughts Of Philosophy Of Logic

It is of great significance to make a study of thoughts of the philosophy of logic, not only important to the development of logic, but also beneficial to the research of philosophy.As an excellent logician and philosopher in China and the most famous one in logic in China, JinYue-lin had some wonderful thoughts on philosophy of logic. This dissertation attempts to make a study of Jin Yue-Lin's thoughts of logic. Here author has selected four topics as the subject:The first one is about the concept of logic, Jin Yue-Lin has studied the definition of logic, the object of logic research, the truth of logic and the property of logic.The value of his views.The second one discusses "three laws of thinking". Jin Yue-Lin indicate the expression of the "three laws", the demonstration of the " three laws " and so on .The third one concerns implication and inference. Jin Yue-Lin's learning of the meaning of relation and the difference between the relation and the property is the foundation of his view of relation. He agreed with the view of external relation, the view of the internal relation was criticized. Jin Yue-Lin explored four kinds of implication, trying to expose inference and the relationship between implication and inference.The last one deals with the problem of induction. The history of this problem having been so long that there are all sorts of solutions . Jin Yue-Lin's special solution had it's own advantages and disadvantages.This dissertation makes use of such methods as comparison, analysis, synthesization to study and explore the works in Jin Yue-Lin's thoughts of logic, philosophy and the philosophy of logic. It grasps the soul of Jin Yue-Lin's thoughts, gets the mainpoint of the property and assesses the value and contributions of these thoughts. It is necessary to inquire into Jin Yue-Lin's thoughts for the development of logic and philosophy .
