the paper talk about the amalgamation of Confucianism and Taoism in the humanity theory of Wangbi. The paper divides three parts, the first part is special discussion on Wangbi's humanity; the second one is a idiographic case for the amalgamation in Wangbi's humanity theory, analyzing the "Saint has sentiment" of Wangbi; the last part casts back the influence of Wangbi's humanity, especially "Sanit has sentiment", which can be regarded as a historical interpreting of the amalgamation of Confucianism and Taoism hi the humanity theory of Wangbi.The first part point out that the theory of Wangbi rebuilt the humanity of Confucianism hi Han dynasty by absorbing the conception of "Move sand Rest" of Taoism. People who live before Wangbi's dynasty always bitter struggle hi the matter of Nature and Feeling with Negative or Positive when they talk about humanity theory. However Wangbi changed the opposability between Nature and Feeling, and he claimed Nature should predominate Feeling. In fact, wangbi thought that Nature is plain without Good or Bad, meanwhile Feeling with Good or Bad, with natural humanity of Taoism. Feeling comes to Good or Bad because of the shatter of Nature, so in some degree, Nature is Feeling and Feeling is Nature. Wangbi unified Nature and Feeling, including Move, Rest, Vanity of Taoism, and Negative, Positive, Good, Bad of Confucianism with a good amalgamation in humanity.The second part embody the "Saint has sentiment". With regard to philosophy base, "Saint has sentiment" has a ontology , Wangbi's "advocate Vanity", which has exhibition the style of Taoism. The attention to the matter of Saint is always the characteristic of Confucianism, so "saint has sentiment" manifests the amalgamation of Confucianism and Taoism. With regard to life philosophy, "Saint has sentiment" manifests either the Middle thought of Confucianism or the Peripateticism of Taoism (especial Zhuangzi), so there is theamalgamation too.The last part shows the material historical influence of humanity of Wangbi, especially of "Saint has sentiment". On one hand, Wangbi's viewpoint of "Essence and Representation are same thing" is the important exhibition of Chinese conventional culture. "Saint has sentiment" can help people to get self-identity and disentomb self-emotion, however on the another hand ,Wangbi's theory had given people who indulge in the feeling and desire the academic sustaining, which can weaken the whole social ethos.
