What Did Art Do?

The relation of art and truth has been being a topic in a great controversy from ancient times to the present. The difference between Heidegger and his predecessors in this issue rests with he dredged the itinerary from art to truth in poetic quality way rather than in cognitively understanding way. His dredging work ploughed a non-logic aesthetic modernity way because it moved round and approached the guidepost of "Being". Analyzing and disentangling this way is the focus of my article.The dissertation consists of three parts:In the first part, the author summarizes the present study situation. From art and aesthetics aspects, there lie some shortages in the present studies, for example, scientific principle's deficiency, topic mere generalities, etc. Therefore, the author will try solving these problems in the following parts.In the second part, the author dredges the thought of Heidegger's aesthetic modernity which focused on art in directly way .Four sections composes of this part:Section one: the author proves the legitimization when we put Heidegger's art thought into aesthetic modernity context. My viewpoint is Heidegger's art thought is in accord with aesthetic modernity in birth context, essential function and substantial spirits.Section two: the author explains the inevitability that art became the way of Heidegger's aesthetic modernity. Art lay in an essential and important position in Heidegger's ideological system. So art has advantages of approaching the truth of "Being" in a priori.Section three: the author expounds the necessity that art turned into the way of Heidegger's aesthetic modernity. Because the western art theories can not shoulder heavy responsibility for their lack of nutrition, Heidegger had to cut off them.Section four: the author discusses the peculiarity that art acted as the way of Heidegger's aesthetic modernity. There are three paths from art to truth:1. Being →Beings →Arts →Truth →Art2. Artist→ Arts→Arts Being →Truth →Aesthetics3. Poet →Poem →Language →TruthIn the third part, the author examines Heidegger's art thought critically. From one side, Heidegger's art thought inspires us in rechecking the relation of art and truth and rescuing the position of art which has been waning in technology and picture times. From the otherside, Heidegger's art thought might engender essential aestheticism when it digresses from the aesthetic modernity context.
